How Board Ownership Works

This site is a collection of separate boards rather than one centrally controlled discussion room. Each board may have an individual owner or management team responsible for that board.

  • Board owners may choose the subject, name, description, and general culture of their board.
  • Board owners may create their own local posting guidelines and moderation practices.
  • Local board rules apply only to that board unless otherwise stated.
  • Board owners are responsible for maintaining their own board and handling ordinary moderation.
  • Site administration may intervene when necessary to enforce the network-wide rule or maintain the website itself.

In short: boards are given broad independence, while the overall network provides the infrastructure connecting them.

Network-Wide Rule
Rule 1: Do not use this site to post, request, facilitate, or otherwise engage in content or activity that violates applicable United States law.

Individual boards may adopt additional rules, but no board owner may authorize activity that violates the network-wide rule.

About the Network

The purpose of this network is to provide a simple collection of discussion boards where communities can develop around different subjects without every board being forced into the same style or moderation philosophy.

Posts may be anonymous unless a particular board chooses otherwise. Board ownership is intended to decentralize day-to-day management while keeping all boards accessible through one central directory.
